About Frontline

Frontline's mission is to transform the lives of vulnerable children by recruiting and developing outstanding individuals to be leaders in social work and broader society.

Our unique two-year on-the-job leadership programme will offer high-achieving graduates and career changers the opportunity to join one of Britain’s most challenging, and most rewarding, professions.

Participants will work as frontline children and families social workers in Local Authorities undertaking child protection work which will change lives.

In year 1 you'll work alongside three other Frontline participants in a local authority child protection team. You'll be supported by an experienced Consultant Social Worker and benefit from over 200 days of on-the-job training, and 50 days teaching and support from an academic tutor. In Year 2, you'll be fully qualified, employed by your local authority and studying towards a fully funded Masters.

At Frontline, we believe that leadership is an integral part of social work practice to transform the lives of vulnerable children. Alongside the programme, you'll take part in practical leadership training so that you can develop the leadership qualities you need to bring about change with families, within the social work profession and beyond.
